Who we are
StretchSpikes™
Custom-Fit Myofascial Release Tools for Deep Foot Recovery & Mobility
StretchSpikes™ are precision 3D-printed myofascial release tools engineered to unlock mobility, relieve foot pain, and restore natural movement through targeted deep tissue pressure therapy. Designed as a left-and-right foot-specific pair, each set is custom printed to match the unique width of the customer’s toes for a personalized fit and highly focused treatment experience.
Every StretchSpikes™ tool features a dual-sided design for comprehensive foot therapy:
Targeted Toe Release Side — Specifically engineered to isolate and massage the small intrinsic muscles in and around the toes, helping break up adhesions, release tension, and improve flexibility and toe mobility.
Contoured Plantar Release Side — Flip the tool over to apply sustained pressure along the plantar fascia, tendons, and deep musculature on the underside of the foot for powerful myofascial decompression and recovery.
A simple integrated paracord system connects both tools together and allows them to be secured directly to the feet. This hands-free design keeps the tools aligned and engaged while moving, stretching, or performing mobility exercises, creating continuous targeted pressure exactly where it’s needed most.
StretchSpikes™ are designed around the proven principles of myofascial release and deep tissue therapy: sustained pressure helps work out muscular knots, break up restrictive fascia, increase circulation, and encourage muscles and connective tissue to relax and lengthen naturally. The result is improved range of motion, enhanced foot function, reduced discomfort, and a stronger foundation for movement.
Ideal for:
Athletes and runners
Barefoot and mobility training
Recovery and rehabilitation
Yoga practitioners and dancers
People with foot tightness, plantar discomfort, or limited toe mobility
Anyone seeking deeper, more targeted foot recovery
Custom-built for the anatomy of your feet, StretchSpikes™ transform foot recovery into a precise, effective, and highly personal therapy experience.
My Story
Like a lot of people, I thought aches and pains were just part of getting older.
Every year there seemed to be something new—a sore knee, tight hips, back pain, stiff shoulders. I'd work through it, ignore it, and keep moving because that's what most of us do. Life is busy. We don't pay much attention until the pain starts making decisions for us.
Looking back, I realized I had spent decades sitting. School desks became office chairs. Long hours at a computer replaced the endless movement of childhood. Even though I stayed active with running, surfing, skating, cycling, and volleyball, I couldn't seem to outrun the effects of spending so much of my life sitting still.
Over the years I tried chiropractors, massage therapy, stretching, and just about everything else I could think of. Some treatments helped for a while, but I always found myself chasing the next ache or pain.
Then what I assumed was simple fatigue completely changed the way I looked at my body.
After taking my daughter to the skate park, I jumped on a skateboard for the first time in years. It was an incredible day. I felt like a kid again.
The next morning I could barely walk.
The muscles in my left leg were so tight that I limped for nearly a year. X-rays and an MRI didn't reveal a clear cause, and I started asking myself the same question so many people eventually ask:
"Is this just what getting older feels like?"
Eventually I visited a sports massage therapist.
He found one incredibly tight muscle and said, "This is going to hurt."
He wasn't kidding.
For about 45 minutes he applied focused pressure to a single knot. It was one of the most uncomfortable treatments I'd ever experienced—but when I stood up, the pain that had followed me for months was almost completely gone.
I couldn't stop thinking about it.
How could one tight muscle create so much pain?
That single appointment sent me down this path.
I became fascinated by muscles, fascia, trigger points, mobility, and how the body works as one connected system. I started reading everything I could find, experimenting on myself, and paying attention to how different parts of my body affected one another.
Instead of only treating the places that hurt, I started looking for areas that felt unusually tight or restricted.
Little by little, things began to change.
I rolled my feet on massage balls while working at my desk. I used deep pressure on tight muscles in my hips, legs, and back. Progress wasn't instant, but week after week I noticed my body moving more freely.
One area, however, remained incredibly difficult to work on. My toes.
No tool I owned could comfortably reach the small muscles between and around them. Most products I found were soft, bulky, or designed primarily for comfort rather than allowing focused pressure exactly where I needed it.
So I designed my own.
Using a 3D printer, I created prototype after prototype until I developed a simple tool that fit naturally between my toes and let me apply steady, controlled pressure while sitting comfortably at my desk.
That prototype eventually became StretchSpikes™.
I've now spent months using them during my normal workday. Instead of setting aside extra time for self-massage, I simply let gravity do most of the work while answering emails, attending meetings, or working on projects.
For me, the results have been nothing short of remarkable.
My feet move better.
My hips feel more balanced.
Areas that had felt tight for years gradually began to relax.
I'm able to move with far less discomfort than I once did.
But what surprised me most was something I never expected.
As I consistently worked on my toes, I began noticing tension releasing in completely different parts of my body.
One day, while resting my toes on StretchSpikes, I felt my left hip relax, followed by my upper back and right shoulder. Then the tension in my wrist eased, and one by one the knuckles in my right hand cracked on their own.
I just sat there in disbelief.
For years I had been working directly on my back with only limited success. I had never considered that the source of some of that tension might begin somewhere else entirely.
That experience completely changed the way I think about the body.
During my research I became fascinated by fascia—the connective tissue that surrounds muscles and helps everything work together. The more I learned, the more I appreciated how interconnected our bodies really are. It made me wonder how years of repetitive movement, sitting, and accumulated tension might affect the way we move from head to toe.
Another moment I'll never forget involved the tip of my left big toe.
For a long time I assumed it was simply developing a thick callus because I had very little sensation there. Then one day, while using StretchSpikes™, I suddenly felt warmth, increased sensation, and what felt like normal feeling returning to that area.
I can't say exactly why it happened, but it made me realize how little attention I'd given my feet over the years—and how much they may have been affecting the rest of my body.
That experience inspired me to keep learning, keep experimenting, and keep moving.
I'm not a doctor.
I'm not claiming StretchSpikes™ are a cure for chronic pain.
I'm simply someone who got tired of accepting discomfort as "normal."
StretchSpikes weren't created in a boardroom or invented as the next fitness gadget.
They were born out of years of searching for something I couldn't find anywhere else.
A simple tool that helps me apply consistent, focused pressure to muscles that had been neglected for years.
Everyone's body is different, and your experience may not be the same as mine.
But if you've spent years living with muscle tightness, stiffness, or the everyday aches that come from sitting too much and moving too little, I hope StretchSpikes encourage you to explore your own body with curiosity instead of frustration.
Because the biggest lesson I learned wasn't just that I could move better.
It was realizing that I had accepted pain as normal for far too long.
If my story encourages even one person to start moving more freely again, then designing StretchSpikes™ was worth every minute.
